The goal was to design packaging that stands out on shelves while honoring the rich heritage of Chinese culture. The design draws inspiration from traditional Chinese motifs found in silk patterns, fans, architecture, and gardens, blending elegance with cultural symbolism.

DESIGN PROCESS
Sketches
The packaging was designed to stand out on the shelf with its unique shape, like an elegant souvenir you can display in your home or give as a thoughtful gift. Drawing inspiration from the Chinese gift-giving tradition and the calming essence of tea, plants, and herbs, the top folds closed into the shape of a lotus flower.

DESIGN PROCESS
Branding
Building on the concept of the lotus, the brand transforms the flower into the shape of a teacup, adding a delicate oval at the top to represent the rim, blending the form, function, and meaning into a single visual element.

DESIGN PROCESS
Dieline
The dieline served as a template for the design, guiding the placement of a repeating lotus-inspired pattern. This shape is echoed on the top of the packaging when folded, reinforcing brand cohesion and attention to detail.
